This, I might use in a poem sometime, because I like the contrast between the delicate blossoms, and impassable brick-wall background.
Sharp resolution on the tulip here! It turned out this was a low wind day, so I wandered about my neighborhood grabbing these shots. First I look to see if there’s a car in the driveway. If not, I close in. If anyone asks me what I’m doing, I tell them I’m working for National Geographic. Then they want you to take pictures of their gardens too! LOL!
I LOVE the spring because everything is so fresh and new! It was at one of these spots where I lost my glasses it took me three months to replace… I was literally bumping into people! This shot? I like the splash of pink in a sea of green!
I thought: [ If I crop it to straighten the tree and the house in the background, then the flowers will look crooked.] So I decided to leave it as is. I was getting down and dirty, so I could have lost my glasses here… Someone’s wearing my spectacles! Look at the angle of the sun’s shadow on the tree. It’s around 11 am.
These are brand new! And I like the contrasting black background as well… Sometimes I don’t think of things until later. Like that green stick leaning on the bottom left? If I’d removed that, the picture would have made a perfect wallpaper for your icons. You can always use your clone stamp in Photoshop and remove it yourself… Would take three seconds, plush loading time for an enormous program.
As I tell all my followers, I own one of the best cameras in the world, always use a tripod, a shutter cable release, and my clearest 50mm macro lens, I use a sun shield and although I have auto focus on the lens, I turn that off because I find I can bring out much sharper detail if I sharpen manually! And I am extremely patient and prolific with post processing…
These pictures, I provide for you absolutely free of charge, are for all in tents and porpoises, perfect to enlarge to 18″ x 24″, to maintain the proper aspect ratio, and costs, in Canada, about $21.95 each at that size. Frames and a little cardboard backing can usually be gathered cheaply. Hang one over your big shot fire-place!
Anyway, it’s my extreme pleasure as both a sucker and a pushover, to present you with what anyone would say are some great Spring flowers shots! Enjoy the slide show, and leave a comment in the slide show if you decide to take one. Thank you very much! Come again!
