I find American politics of particular concern to me as a Canadian, because over 80% of business in Canada is American owned! I can be relatively certain then, that whatever effects Americans will soon effect Canadians as well. I watched The Republican Debate last night, and never heard anything so infantile than Mark Rubio’s comment about climate change! He said the climate has always been changing. Yes I know, but we never used to call it ‘a runaway greenhouse effect’ before, or God forbid we should use the infamous term: ‘Global Warming!’
Rubio went on to say that tax payers would foot the bill. Hello! Footing this kind of bill saves the country money in the long run, and builds infrastructure requiring a proliferation of new jobs, resulting in an independence from fossil fuels, while increasing energy efficiency! He also said places like India won’t comply so what’s the use? What’s the use? That’s the wrong attitude… If Americans could push countries around for their oil before, they can push them for cleaner air now! Don’t tell me there aren’t incentives that can persuade people to take a better path, because I know there are!
I think it silly to be discussing wars and walls and insurance, when we all know full well, that if we don’t do something major, world-wide, to combat the fastest moving, and only man-made mass extinction, there will be no wall, wars or insurance to discuss! I don’t even like Ted Cruz or Trump! They seem to be bed-fellows when it comes to locking people in the country, and deporting people out…
Hillary is all for giving money to the middle class… Or maybe just what you want to hear! In all of this election campaign, I’ve heard nothing about what they’d do for the poor! So right away, the ones who need money the most don’t count? I’m not talking welfare bums here, but people who are genuinely disabled and unable to work!
What are we supposed to do? Rely on food bank hand-me downs for optimal hope and help to recover? Are any solutions to financial problems even being offered to the poor? Or are they just a nuisance we hope will quietly go away? And Hillary’s reputation is questionable! Truth be known, there’s nobody out there worth voting for; that is, nobody with the wisdom, patience, diplomacy, and judgement necessary to run a country of 400 million people!
Bernie Sanders just sounds too good to be true to me! So he probably is! He can be rude, and does a lot of finger-pointing! What’s more, he’s a Socialist! What is a nation to do when their choices are terrible and worse? Even if someone good did get in, their work just gets torn down later… That’s not good government!
I propose we should look for honest people who aren’t looking for recognition, but a common ground that everyone can agree upon! If we all sought out people with broken lives and treated them fairly, maybe things like crime, poverty, war and disease wouldn’t exist! If each person just helped the person next to them, all could then stand united! If greed should suddenly vanish, Mankind would advance 100 times faster than it does today! So what’s the answer?
No country can ever truly harbor justice, unless the very least of its citizens can be free! You can’t UN-scramble an egg, any more than you’ll ever create order from chaos! The people need habitats in which they can mingle freely, not bee hives! And we can’t be expecting Government to do what they continually fail to do. They fail to provide unity, ideas, incentives, investments… Investments in our children!
We only achieve unity, by fully understanding and entering into a contract with one another; a contract of peace, co-operation, and dignity for ALL! If you had the opportunity to become president of The US of A, how would you get a cabinet at odds with one another, to co-operate with you? Or tell me! Who would you vote for that’s running now, and why?
