Finances were a little tight this year, so we couldn’t afford a turkey. Pigeon, it turns out, was on @ 59 cents a pound! We managed to scrounge up a few pieces of potato from the back of the fridge since 1984. And we garnished it with some shrubs from out back… The four of us were very grateful!
There’s Bonehead (enjoying Thanksgiving 2.0), Leslie, me, and then there’s Tim. Tim is Leslie’s nephew from North Carolina, who came to roost here, about a week ago, and plans to stay until at least Christmas… He looks a little well done around the head, but he certainly was tasty! I told him there was $5 in the oven, and he climbed right in :O)
Do you pray before you eat? We don’t. We just each find our own, private, spot and feast with glutton like tendencies. I can understand it’s a celebration, but stuffing yourself, is nothing to celebrate about… Have you even tried pigeon? LOL! Happy Thanksgiving to one and all!
