“That is how President Obama should begin one of the most significant speeches of his presidency: the commencement address at Morehouse College this Sunday. Addressing the historically black all male institution gives Obama an opportunity to rectify his strategic neglect of African-Americans. In this high-profile talk to his own demographic, the president has some explaining to do.” Quote from CNN. My opinion basically is that President Obama talks a good fight! And I think he has the moxie to stand up against other leaders and dictators I just don’t think he has the time… Every time I see him on TV, he’s always waving to me from a plane. It just seems that man’s either coming or going and it’s easy to loose track of which; I guess I’m trying to say that I think he’s the party going type… I’ll bet he takes a hoot now and then. LOL! Truly. I like the man, as a man, but not so much as a president. He hasn’t provided the jobs. He hasn’t provided a better education for “all” Black Americans, and his retort was a little harsh.
Michelle Obama is a knockout! Maybe everybody really voted for her. If it’s time for a Black President, it’s certainly time for a woman President. Hillary Clinton won’t run though. If she only would run again, I think this time she would win! In fact, I think Michelle would give Hillary a tough time at that. I mean that woman is built! She exercises at 5 am every morning. I haven’t seen 5 am in years! She’s very active yet rightly says she’ a Mom first and foremost. Stylish dresser too.
Here’s another quote from Barak:
“I’m sorry I haven’t done more.”
The president has not spoken out forcefully against racial profiling and mass incarceration. He has not memorialized the mainly African-American victims of gun violence in Chicago the way he has memorialized the mainly white victims of gun violence in Newtown and Columbine. Asked why he hadn’t done more to remedy the catastrophic rate of African-American unemployment, Obama said, “I can’t pass laws that say I’m just helping black folks. I’m president of the entire United States.”
I agree with what Obama said to some extent, yet Black African Americans are expecting Obama to do something for them. It’s only fair… I suspect Obama will be elected again. He really is a brilliant man! It’s just that he hasn’t lived up to his electoral promises as quickly or dramatically as people expected. Once again we all sit anxiously awaiting just how and when Barak is going to fix things. There’s no doubt about it though, he should help them; especially the grads whom have earned a place in society today; a dynamic participation and not lack of available positions, that most especially African Americans need to fill.
If he (Obama) wants everything booming in the fulfillment of new emerging and innovative career choices, then now’s his chance! Well this, is just my opinion. You are most welcome to state yours. It could clear the air of this mass confusion about whom to help and whom not. Mass incarceration I remain biased about because I believe that is happening everywhere, and somewhat irreversible at this point in time… If he just concentrated on the poor, a lot of Black Americans would show up there anyway, and he still commits to a large sector of the populous, that’s for sure… PLEASE! SOMEONE! MAKE UP MY MIND! Welcome to My Opinionsville…
